i miss my best friend.

i miss my best friend!! i dropped him off this morning at the airport...i wish i had hopped on a plane back to Minnesota too...but, at least we had a great time together while he was here...this weekend was so great! i had the best birthday...with (most of ) my favorite people :) i loved it. we went ice-skating downtown (nate was silly on skates....secret talent, i think...you should have seen him on those figure skates!!!). we went out to lunch at my favorite sushi spot...did a little shopping at anthropologie...then went home to a surprise birthday party!! i opened my apartment door, thinking i was going home to a quiet spaghetti & meatball dinner with my fiance...and instead opened the door & was attacked by a can of silly-string & had an apartment decorated in tinkerbell balloons & decorations...and SPRINKLES CUPCAKES!! it was great sharing my birthday with my family :) 

friday was full of excitement....we went skiing at snow basin (nate's first time!!) he was HILARIOUS!!!!! i'll let him share his memories of snow basin with everyone. it was very, very, very funny. he was great by the end of the day...but our first couple runs weren't too hot. he looked great in his goggles though! i wish we had pictures...but i lost my camera this weekend (very, very, very sad for me....), so all the ski pictures are lost.

on saturday, we spent the day smiling in front of a camera...taking our engagement pictures!!!! they are incredible. my brother is our photographer. we were so impressed with his talent. we had such a blast with mark & libby - they are such a great team. mark is a great photographer & his talent is definitely enhanced with libby's touch. the pictures turned out wonderful. we LOVE them!!!!!!! we were so excited!! 

super-bowl sunday was a blast...we spent the day lounging around together (ok...so this probably doesnt seem super exciting to most people...but for us, its time together that we dont get to share enough of...so, snuggling & watching movies & just being together is super special)....we had a lot of fun watching the game with my friends from work. we love football...and it was nice to spend time with my friends! 

i wont see my best friend for awhile...but at least i have lots of good memories to make me smile until then. 4 months (plus a little bit) till our wedding day!!!!!!!!! we are getting very excited!!
