football & fayetteville!

we had a wonderful day today! spent the morning watching football (yay! buckeyes won & the badgers killed it!!!). then we drove into beautiful fayetteville. I love that town! it's darling. we went shopping at some great, cute shops & then walked around & enjoyed the colorful christmas light display in the square. adelie loved the christmas lit carousel! so cute. wish we were staying longer...tomorrow we head home. it's been a great trip!

adelie got a brand new ohio state outfit from jim & alice...and a darling red & white new tutu! we thought they matched nicely (please note: this tutu will match very nicely with her wisconsin badger outfits as well!!)...she is adorable today! we are all cheering for the buckeyes today (this will not happen very often!). GO BUCKY!! we will be cheering even louder for the badgers later today. hoping for the rose bowl!

bathtime!!!

adelie LOVES bathtime! we captured some great pictures of her bath yesterday! she was so excited before hopping in! daddy is trying to teach her to brush her own hair...pretty sweet.

we are having a wonderful time visiting nate's parents! adelie is having a blast. alice cooked all day yesterday & the day before...and we had a delicious turkey dinner last night. we spent the day relaxing together....went on a great walk, watched lots of football & ate lots of great food...nate watched the parade with adelie...so fun!

today we headed into eureka springs - a super cute little tourist town. the drive in will be well-remembered I'm sure. alice & jim warned us that it was a windy road - but I had no idea how curvy it would be! the combination (of being 4 months pregnant, nauseous, bad headache (that I have had since last night), and super windy roads) did not end well...jim had to pull over (in a nice little white church's parking lot) so I could throw up. ick!! I was really hoping I'd make it through this pregnancy without getting sick. not so lucky. not so fun getting sick in front of your husband & in-laws...but, adelie's laughter made me smile at least. anyway...we enjoyed the rest of the day after having a nice lunch at a yummy little cafe. lots of shopping...adelie got some really cute christmas outfits! we now have her christmas eve & christmas day outfits!...and she got her first tutu! she may break it out for the football games tomorrow (it's red & white). she had fun playing with it tonight. we will take lots of pictures! tomorrow we're headed to fayetteville - (after football) I love that town! so charming. should be fun!

our little snow bunny!

our little snow bunny!!! it's official. she LOVES the snow! we took full advantage of the first MN snow & had a fantastic time playing in the powder together! adelie loved it. she was super happy the whole time we were out there. if her little nose & cheeks weren't getting so red, we would've played longer...but she had a great time! she made her first snow angel!!! so adorable. and daddy made her a super tall (huge!) snowman! she thought it was hilarious! she was laughing at it. so silly. it's head fell off the first night (too big!), but it was fun while it lasted. I'm sure we will have a great winter playing in the snow together!

a couple random recent pictures...adelie got a new coat (which is so great, because it's freeeeezing here!) - I love seeing her all bundled up! it's super cute. nate's dad came to visit (and adelie entertained us at dinner!!). And adelie now CHUGS her bottles! so funny...not posed at all. she loves holding her own bottle & tipping it waaay up! silly girl.

some of my favorites from our home: 1. the photo above our fireplace at the foot of our bed (my brother, mark, took it of adelie trying to eat my ice cream cone!! Nate & I absolutely love it! it's such a sweet, happy picture...thanks, mark!) 2. the book rack!!! (we copied R&H on this one...) we wanted to say 'thanks' to R&H, M&L, C&E for the sweet (and generous!) baby gift....we used it to buy this awesome book rack! Nate still needs to hang it, but we love it! adelie has so many great books (she has another whole basket full!!) and it's so great to be able to just grab a great read! thanks! we absolutely love it!

the photos at the end are of adelie first thing in the morning!! I love walking in on her to see her peek her cute little blue eyes out at me! she has some serious bed-head in one of the pics! love it! she makes my life so happy! I love waking up to that sweet little smile.

snow! snow! snow!

Last week we enjoyed some beautiful 65 degree days with sunshine....tomorrow we should get our first big snow!! The national weather service "says" we could get a foot, but more likely 6-8 inches. I can't wait!!! We are excited to see Adelie react to the snowflakes. She loves seeing the leaves fall & fly around, so I'm sure she will be in heaven in the fluffy white stuff!!!!! We will take lots of pictures & videos! Should be a great day for cuddling up & watching some college football with hot cocoa...and then a little romp around in the fresh snow!!!

I thought I'd post a few pictures from my favorite place to go with Adelie & Nate....Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior! Love walking along the shoreline and my new favorite place to bring Adelie is to the swings on Excelsior Beach! She loves them!!! She loves the swings & its so fun being right next to the lake...the first pictures are from awhile ago (when it was still warm) and the swinging pics are from this week.

I love the last picture of her...so I thought I'd share her sweet little face with you! Cant wait to see her cute little cheeks & button nose all rosy from the cold Minnesota air!!! Bring on the snow.
