"boppit"

Life is just so much more fun with kids - especially a 2 year old and (almost) 1 year old. I absolutely adore these girls. We had fun getting ready for Easter this weekend. We went to an Easter egg hunt in Excelsior on Saturday morning. It was pretty chilly & sprinkling and Adelie only picked up 2(?) eggs - but it was still fun to see all the little kids. There were 16,000 eggs scattered! Adelie got to see a firetruck & see Sparky the fire dog - and she got a new fireman's hat! The girls enjoyed the rest of the day a little more than picking up eggs in the chilly rain. Our next stop was at the Original Pancake House - Nate's idea - best idea of the day! Adelie was in heaven eating her plate of mini pancakes - which she shared with little Kennedi. These girls love pancakes!! So delicious. Then we were off to visit the Easter bunny. Adelie has been dying to visit the bunny - she's been talking about it for weeks - "boppit" (which I think is "bunny-rabbit" combined). She was a happy, happy girl to finally meet the fine fella. The Easter bunny production was a much happier visit than Santa (well, Kennedi wasn't impressed...at all...but...). Adelie brought an Easter egg to give to the bunny - and gave it to him right away. So sweet. She would have hung out with him all afternoon if she could have. She gave him a sweet hug & patted the Peeps chick on her way out. So great. When we got home, we dyed Easter eggs & called it a night.

What a fun filled day. So many memories being made at that Cartwright home! How is it Adelie can look so big, yet so little at the same time? I saw pictures of other Easter bunnies this weekend and this one is by FAR the cutest... great pictures!
